For next week’s study, I would like you to read the TWO following articles ㅠㅠ
They are both about kakao-talk. One is formal, and one is informal.
Formal Article:

Informal Article

Guidelines
Don’t feel stressed about understanding or memorizing everything in the articles. Remember we are using them as the basis for a speaking class.
As you read, please consider the various suggestions I have given you all in the past week: focus on articles, vocabulary, tenses, speak more, and so on.
See if you can find some information that will help and benefit you specifically.
I will prepare some spoken exercises for you to carry out in class.
If there are any words, sentences, or paragraphs, that you don’t understand, leave a comment and it will be explained for you.
I have a question on the formal article “THE CURIOUS ADVENTURES OF CON AND FRODO”. In the middle of the fourth paragraph, it says “When a tsunami struck Japan in 2011, Naver’s staff there huddled at the office and created Line in six weeks to communicate with each other across a network with much-reduced bandwidths.” I don’t understand the sentence clearly. Is it saying that the idea of emoji was created due to the disaster?

The sentence means that the app “Line” was created so that people could talk to each other more easily after the tsunami disaster. It doesn’t mean emojis were created – it means a new communication app was created because of the situation
